Too old to change? Really???

Too old to change? Really???

You Tell Yourself That You're Too Old?

I have to laugh when someone tells me they are too old to change.

At 76, I am learning AI, running businesses, and yes, still getting lost in my house when I put my glasses down. Reinvention has no age limit.

If it did, I would have missed the best years of my life.

My real turning point came after my health collapsed in my fifties. I had to rebuild the whole machine. My strength. My mind. My habits.

It was not glamorous. It was necessary. And here I am, still deciding what to build next. I keep going because life still feels interesting.

A Blow During the Holidays

The holidays tried to knock the wind out of me this year. A personal blow came out of nowhere. I felt the sting of it. I let myself feel vulnerable.

Then I remembered something I learned long ago. Growth does not retire. It does not disappear because life becomes inconvenient. It keeps waiting for the moment you stop pretending you are fine.

And here is where I want to speak plainly. Lawyers are brilliant at procrastinating the truth. You tell yourself you will reinvent when things calm down.

When the caseload lightens. When the partners stop asking for more. When your phone stops ringing.

You and I both know none of that is ever going to happen.

The Problem

The problem is simple. You are overloaded, and you call it normal. The agitation grows beneath the surface, and you call it fatigue.

The truth is, you are standing at the edge of reinvention and telling yourself it is not that bad yet. That denial is the quiet thief of a life you could be living.

Let me push you gently here. You already know the old way is unsustainable.

You already feel it. Next year won’t change a thing if you keep working inside the same system. That pressure you carry is your warning, not a phase.

The Solution

And here is the solution. Reinvention becomes real when you stop trying to do it alone.

That is why I created the Pinnacle Lawyer Mastermind. A place where your schedule stops running your life. A place where you get real support and real structure.

A place where the next version of your career is not a someday fantasy but the natural outcome of being surrounded by people who are not willing to shrink their lives.

You can have a completely different year. A more spacious mind. A healthier body. A career that supports your life instead of consuming it. But that only happens when you choose to step into a community built for reinvention.

Tell Yourself The Truth

If you are tired of telling yourself you will start when things slow down, then this is your moment.

Pinnacle is for lawyers who are done pretending this is as good as it gets. You haven’t thrown up your hands. You’re still reaching.
