As a kid, I loved Jiminy Cricket. He was charming, wise, and had the voice of a conscience most of us wish we had.
For those who didn’t grow up on classic Disney, Jiminy Cricket was the dapper little insect inPinocchio, wearing a top hat and carrying a tiny umbrella.
But he wasn’t just there for comic relief—he was Pinocchio’sconscience. His job was to guide the wooden puppet toward becoming a “real boy” by helping him make wise, moral choices.
Jiminy wasn’t loud or flashy—he was steady, persistent, and often ignored. But every time Pinocchio got into trouble (and he got into a lot),
Jiminy had been there all along, trying to steer him the right way. He’s the voice of wisdom most of us tune out when we’re chasing success, validation, or just trying to keep up.
Remember when he tried to steer Pinocchio away from the circus and temptation? 🎬Remember the circus scene inPinocchio?
Jiminy Cricket warned him not to go.
But Pinocchio ignored that little voice of wisdom—and wound up trapped in a cage, forced to perform, controlled by someone else, and desperately longing for freedom.
The kid (well, puppet) just wanted to have fun, but Jiminy saw the bigger picture:
“Always let your conscience be your guide.”
Funny enough, I think of Jiminy a lot in my work with lawyers.
Sound familiar?
I’ve worked with so many lawyers who’ve done the same thing—not with a ringmaster, but with their firm, their habits, or their own inner critic.
They’re constantly distracted—chasing headlines, scrolling social media, and getting lost down internet rabbit holes.
Deadlines slip by. Critical tasks pile up in the corner while they answer every email and take every call in real time, hoping to prove their worth through responsiveness.
They overperform—but on all the wrong things. And somewhere along the way, they start to believe the lie:“This is just how it has to be.”
Meanwhile, their creativity, leadership, and joy are locked in a cage.
That’s exactly where my client was—stuck at $400K, overworked, and invisible until we broke the cycle.
He was talented, hard-working, and drowning.
He believed that if he just worked harder, longer, and burned the midnight oil he would succeed.
That’s when we met.
I asked him: How is that working for you?
He was exhausted, frustrated, and ready to give up.
We didn’t just optimize his calendar—we rebuilt his mindset.
I helped him stop thinking like an employee and start thinking like alaw firm CEO:
✔️ We redesigned his schedule
✔️ We organized his workflow
✔️ We turned him into thestrategic leaderhis team needed
✔️ And yes—we found his voice again
He went from $400K to $1.7 M in only seven months.
“You were meant for more.”
“Stop hiding behind the work and start leading.”
“Your value isn’t just in your hours—it’s in your vision.”
But most lawyers are too buried in billables, burnout, and broken habits to hear it.
🎯 As a coach, I help lawyers:
Get unstuck
Reframe their habits
Lead their firms
Win the business
And do it all without killing themselves or losing the people they love along the way
Because successwithoutyour health, peace, or relationships… isn’t really success at all.
🧭 Whether you’re Pinocchio heading toward the circus or a high performer about to give up,
You might just need someone in your corner saying:
“You don’t have to keep doing it this way. There’s a better path—and I can help you find it.”
